You don’t need us to tell you that exercising is one of the best ways to live a healthy life—a long with eating right, of course! But sometimes it’s hard to fit it in our busy schedules.
If you’re really trying to drop the pounds, experts say you should exercise 50 to 60 minutes five to six times a week. Some of us can’t even fit in the recommended 30 minutes per day! So let’s say you’re trying to complete your fitness goals, but can’t get in longer workouts so you have to break them in half are double up. Are two workouts in one day good for you and your health?
Our answer is actually yes. This is because you can vary the two workouts—go for a run in the morning then do weight training after work—and it will help you burn even more calories. Be aware of which muscles you’re targeting every time you exercise, because only working your legs or arms twice in one day could not only cause a muscular imbalance that leads to pain or injury, but you might also get bored.
And remember to nourish your body, you won’t be able to keep up if you’re not fed. Happy exercising!
