Probably one of the best exercises for your lower body, the squat is simple. This movement hits all of your lower body muscles including your quads, glutes and hamstrings. It also gives your core an extra kick so your deep abdominal muscles and back perform correctly. Use this exercise even while at work if you find yourself sitting for a long period of time or add it to your exercise regimen at home.

If you’re looking to tone up your abdominals, this exercise will do just that. Bicycles ignite your core because they require deep abdominal stabilization and rotation. Compared to the standard crunch, they have been proven to activate more muscle fibers in the rectus abdominus and obliques. They can also be quite a fun way to strengthen your abs.
