Winter has a tendency to make most of us just want to cuddle up with a soothing drink and watch a movie or read a book. The last thing on our minds is exercise. And while that’s all well and good, you’re not going to want to let your lazy side get the best of you all season.
So even though this brisk weather may keep you from getting outside—whether it’s running or making your way to the gym—you can still get your fitness on in the comfort of your own home. Try these exercises to help keep up with your fitness goals and stay warm.
Try a little Yoga: If you didn’t already know, yoga isn’t only a workout to help calm your body. It can be extremely beneficial to gaining strength and toning up. Starting your morning off with some om’ing moves can make the rest of your day that much better. Try this am yoga routine for the beginner or advanced yogi.
Focus on your Arms: It seems like getting rid of that arm jiggle a job in itself. But don’t worry, it’s not impossible! To help combat that extra fat above your elbow, try a variety of moves such as tricep dips, weighted punches, sideways floor push ups and more. Read more on these arm-toning moves.
Get a firm Butt: Not all of us have been gifted a Kim Kardashian back side—not that we all wish we had. But a saggy rear end is no hot commodity. No more struggling to tone that behind! These butt-toning moves—like lunges and squats—will tighten your backside and tone your thighs.
