From her days as an American Idol winner to her successful country music career, we can’t seem to get enough of Carrie Underwood. It’s not only her killer vocals, the petite blonde is a stunning beauty with an incredible, envy worthy physique.
After winning American Idol back in 2005, the 5-foot-3 singer lost 20 pounds shortly after the competition and since then becoming a fitness and health fanatic. Teach us your ways, Carrie!
Fitter than ever, Carrie has been a no fish, no chicken, no-meat vegetarian since childhood and tries to stick to a strict vegan diet without inconveniencing herself or others.
“I am a vegan, but I consider myself to be a practical vegan,” she told Women’s Health last month. “The vegan thing is something I try to do my best on because it’s a cheesy world out there.” She’s not about to send back an order of food that has a sprinkle of cheese on it.
Underwood, 30, can also thank her fitness dedication for her toned body. Her workouts include lots of high-intensity cardio exercise such as running on the treadmill and kickboxing. She also strength-trains with five- to 30-pound weights and with resistance bands.
Carrie’s favorite thing to do is cardio. “It makes me feel good, it makes me happy. It helps the pounds melt off and it gives me so much more energy,” she said. We know that getting yourself to the gym can be a sometimes impossible task, but do what Carrie does and make it fun. You’ll feel better about yourself when you’re done.
