We can’t deny that Julianne Hough has an incredible body. Have you seen her?
The dancer, singer, and actress is one healthy chick. From her dancing days on DWTS to her movie roles in “Safe Haven” and “Footloose,” Julianne makes staying fit look easy.
Her Instagram account is chock full of pictures of her staying active, eating healthy, and having fun. We could all take a few lessons from Julianne and we’re not only talking dance lessons.
Find out how this beauty stays healthy, happy and fit:
Her workouts
The Dancing With The Stars alum has been dancing since she was little. She encourages everyone to incorporate a little dance into their routines. “Everyone can really benefit from dance — men and women of all shapes and sizes,” she tells Fitness.
When she’s not dancing, Julianne likes to vary her workouts — she’s been a fan of everything from Tracy Anderson Method to SoulCycle, swimming, and running on the treadmill.
Eating healthy
Fresh produce, green smoothies, and healthy snacks are a regular part of Julianne’s diet. Her go-to snacks include iced herbal tea with almonds, hummus, or sliced vegetables with apple-cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
“Beauty comes from within. Whatever you put in your body — food or anything internally — is going to show up there,” she tells WebMD.
Indulging
While Julianne usually prefers to stick with eating healthy, she doesn’t sweat those small indulgences. “If I’m going to splurge, it starts with breakfast: chilaquiles and, just because I want to taste them, pancakes on the side,” she tells Self.
She is the same with every meal from lunch to dinner, she’ll enjoy her occasional weak moments.
Pushing herself
When it comes to working out. Julianne is all about pushing herself. No wonder she is a two-time DWTS champion!
“When we work out with a trainer, we’ll die before we stop, like, to the point where we can’t breathe,” she told Glamour of competing with then-boyfriend Ryan Seacrest in 2012.
Maintaining her weight
After Julianne stopped dancing, she gained 20 pounds. Did that faze her? NO. “I’m eating well, working out and embracing my butt, curvy legs and hips. Besides, if you’re too thin, you look older,” she says.
When she does want to lose a few pounds, however, she cuts out alcohol, sugar, and white flour-based carbs, and adds protein or green shakes to her diet.
