The Shameless actress is constantly seen heading to a hot new fitness class with smile. She clearly enjoys working out, which makes us wish we could get fit along side her.
So what does Emmy do to stay healthy and fit?
Emmy grew up in a household where she was on a macrobiotic diet and still continues to exercise dietary discipline while still indulging her cravings. Having always been allergic to wheat, she has been upfront about the fact that her gluten-free diet helps her “not to snack on things that, in theory, put on weight.” Lucky her!
The slender 5-foot-8 Rossum works out everyday which contributes to her lean and fit figure. She has a background in ballet and is a regular at Physique 57 barre workouts, the treadmill-centered Burn 60, and indoor cycling classes like SoulCycle. Who knows, you may see her in one of your group classes!
To go along with her slender physique and healthy diet, Emmy also knows how to keep it real. “I’m fit because I make it a priority and it’s part of my job,” Emmy told Self. “I also try to stay confident, so five pounds up or down doesn’t affect my brain.”
The starlet also insists that she doesn’t equate thinness with health. “Right now I’m probably in the best shape that I’ve ever been in, although I don’t consider ‘best shape’ to necessarily mean the skinniest,” she explains.
With her healthy lifestyle emphasizing clean living and clean eating, we’d love to have Emmy as a health and fitness partner!
