The “Lizzie McGuire” alum slays on Shape’s May 2015 issue—we’re still trying to pick our jaws up off the floor!
Just three years after giving birth to her adorable son Luca, Hilary is showing off her enviable postbaby body. And—ICYMI—the actress recently showed off more of her body with a revealing Instagram post with a message to mom’s everywhere to love their bodies. You go girl!
So what’s Hilary’s workout philosophy? Well, you won’t see her slaving away at the gym every day that’s for sure.”I don’t do auto-gym. I go three times a week and mix it up every time,” she explains to Shape. “I work out with weighted balls, battle ropes, and big rubber bands.”
She also relies heavily on real-life exercise. She carries her son around—he’s 35 pounds—so that will definitely give her arms a good workout. Opting to take the stairs and not the elevator, walking a bit instead of the subway, and more can help burn calories and get in your daily exercise.
As for dieting, this momma says no thanks! “I rely on grown-woman food, ” she says. “I’d rather have someone pull my fingernails off than hunker down and go on an actual diet.” We hear her loud and clear!
Her favorite snack? Wasa crackers topped with avocado, radish, chia seeds, a little olive oil, some sea salt, lemon, and dill. Sounds like a handful, but it keeps her plate “excited.” And as much as she tries to stay away from it, Hilary says cheese is the key to happiness. We totally agree!
