You have to be one fearless soul to brave the Black Friday pushing, shoving, ridiculously long lines, and everything in between. Yep, once a year it seems as if everyone heads to the nearest mall to literally “shop till they drop” all the Black Friday deals.
I, for one, have never chalked up the courage to do so, but if you’re feeling extra courageous you should probably use some of these helpful hacks.
Make a list: Ok, maybe you’re not the list-making type, but jotting down the items you want beforehand will make your day easier. This will keep you from grabbing random things that you probably don’t need.
Research the deals: So many deals, only so many hours in a day. Make sure you know all the deals you want before you go—just to be sure you don’t regret you purchases. You wouldn’t want to have to run back to the mall madness to make an exchange would you?
Have a plan of attack: If you plan on going to a mall you’ve never been to before—pretty gutsy move—you will definitely need a game plan. Look up the mall’s map online to plan out which stores you want to go to. You could even print it out and color coördinate it by the stores that are a must and those you would be willing to skip.
Bring a shopping buddy: Shopping with your BFF is always the best. You’ll need your go-to best bud on this big shopping day for sure—especially if you’re not a morning person. Your bestie will keep you in check and let you know if you’re about to make a ridiculous purchase.
Stow away a snack: If you think the retail stores are going to be crazy, think again. The food court is where the real madness is. To avoid all of that hecticness, why not bring a few little snacks to hold you off till you treat yourself to that after-shopping lunch?
Or, you kmow, you could just stay home—probably the most useful tip you could get. The choice is yours!
