Natalie Dormer Reveals Her Secrets To Staying In Shape

By Barbara Baez @BarbaraMBaez · On March 25, 2015

If you’re a big Game of Thrones or Hunger Games fan then you know must who Natalie Dormer is—this lady is a badass! With striking features (she shaved her head for her HG role!), the British actress stuns audiences on both the small and silver

screens.

Most famous for her role as Margaery Tyrell on the hit HBO series, the 33 year-old stunner covers the most recent issue of Self giving us a glimpse into her hectic work schedule—with an equally intense fitness and health routine.

If you think your work day is grueling, think again. While filming the Hunger Games sequel, Dormer had to report to work every day at 5 a.m. (WHAT?!) Plus, after a 12-hour day filming battle scenes, she would then workout for another hour—alternating between running and hitting the gym for interval training. Now that’s dedication!

Sure, the actress was also committed to training for the London marathon, but admits: “I actually look back on it now and think, ‘F–king hell, how did I do that?'”

The actress, who doesn’t have a trainer (props to you, Natalie!) loves running, yoga and swimming.

And aside from the crazy days and added work outs, you’ll find Dormer sipping on one of her favorite juices.

“When you have early calls, you don’t necessarily want to eat first thing in the morning,” she tells Self. “But you have such long days that if you don’t, you really fall down from it. So, juicing before and eating later is, for me, a good nutritional compromise.”
