Do you hate drinking plain water as much as I do? Some people love drinking water, but for those of us who can’t stand it, here’s a reason to make your own lemonade with so little sugar that even Mayor Bloomberg would be proud. Raspberries contain the phytonutrient ellagic acid, which helps to prevent cancer. Of course, use organic ingredients when you can, because, really, do we need the extra chemicals?
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup raspberries (more than this gives the drink a bitter taste)
- Juice from ½ a lemon
- 1 Tbsp. raw sugar
- Lots of ice
Directions:
Puree all of this in a blender. Pour into a 40 oz. pitcher, and add water until filled.
Nutritional info: makes 5 8-oz. servings with 15 calories each. No fat!
