What's in My Gym Bag?

By Barbara Baez @BarbaraMBaez · On March 13, 2015

gym bag edited

Being a natural curious (aka noisy) individual, it is only normal that I wonder what people generally carry in their gym bags. Usually I see an array of bags in different colors and sizes wondering what are in them. For my gym bag, during the summer the contents differ compared to what I carry in the winter, this is because I usually change clothes at home after my workout. Is that TMI?

For those who are curious, like myself here is what I bring:

The Bag: Deha, I bought it at Marshall’s a few years ago for approximately $15. It’s purple and easy to clean.

The Stuff:

gym items

Rag: For those days when I am having an intense sweat session a rag helps to clean things up. Remember pretty girls sweat, its natural, its healthy, embrace it.

Sports Jacket:  Purchased at Marshalls for approximately $15, I take this incase the air conditioner is blasting.

Lock: To prevent theft, I use a lock.

Chap Stick: chapped lips are not attractive, nor do they feel good, hence I have a chap stick.

IPod: I cannot stress how much I need music for the gym, especially when I am on a treadmill. It is a serious necessity.

Hand Sanitizer: A necessity, because let’s face it some people are not hygienic, and there are a lot of germs.

Water Bottle: Yet another purchase from Marshalls, this cost $10.

Wallet: I always have my wallet because I need the items in my wallet for an everyday basis, i.e. money, I.D Starbucks card.

Arm Band: Also purchased at Marshall’s if you could not tell by now Marshalls is a great place for gym wear. Also running with headphones and holding my iPod or phone can get tangled and become an aggravating mess. The armband helps, a lot.

Ziploc with Tissues: My bags always have tissues, you never know what may occur and a tissue will come to your rescue.

Not Shown:

Headphones: As mentioned I need music and without headphones, the iPod is useless.

Bar/Almonds: Replenishing your body after a workout is important; having these ensures that I do not turn into a “hANGRY” starving beast.

Phone: I switch my Ipod with my Phone at times to listen to Pandora/Spotify to switch the music up.
