Wearing white after Labor Day has been the biggest no-no in the book since…well forever. Here at Lucille Roberts we think it’s completely acceptable to nix that rule.
I’m not about to bore you with the history of how this “regulation” came about, but just know that back then people didn’t wear short shorts and halter tops. They were dressed in light colored formal wear to keep them cool during the warm months.
In the recent years, fashionistas everywhere have been rebelling against this old-school staple and rocking their favorite white attire.
If you’re like me and love your pearly white clothes then lets all try to be a little daring this fall/winter by sporting them with confidence! Here are some white garment ideas to try during the coming chilly weather:
White Peplum Top
This kind of top has been climbing the ranks in fashion for some time now so why not bring it on over to fall?
Match it with different color blazers. It will even look fabulous with a white blazer or jacket. You will definitely make a statement wearing one!
Nasty Gal, Gianna Peplum Top, $48
White Dress
If you’re really bold, try a white dress! You have the chance of becoming the first one noticed.
It can be paired with a heavier fall/winter coat and even attempt matching it with darker tights for a warm affect. Add some booties and you’re good to go!
Forever 21, Glam Dot A-Line Dress, $30
White Jeans
White jeans are just as chic during the winter. You just have to know how to wear them.
Pair some with stylish riding boots or booties, colorful scarf, and a cardigan. I would even try matching them up with some dark Converse for a more laid back look (that’s just because Converse are my thing).
Mango, Zippers Super Slim-Fit White Jeans, $70
