With November being NATIONAL HEALTHY SKIN MONTH, I thought you all would appreciate this quick beauty fix…
I always like to have moisturizer or body lotion in my purse or at work just in case my hands/skin gets dry. I hate the feeling of neglected and scaly skin especially now with the colder months upon us.
So, if you suddenly find yourself without any moisturizer or just simply run out, head over to your pantry and grab some extra virgin olive oil. It can do wonders for your skin as a natural moisturizer.
Lathering on some EVOO feels more concentrated than a lotion and okay, it may not absorb as quickly but if you have a little extra time it will penetrate deep to regenerate cells and soften the tissue. It also contains some of the same healthy fats as avocado, which can plump lips and moisturize the skin with its combination of vitamin E and vitamin A.
Try applying it daily to notoriously dry areas, such as feet and elbows, especially after showering! You can easily add some nice scent with a few drops of essential oil.
