Here I am going into my final weeks of my twelve weeks at Lucille Roberts, and I cannot believe how fast it has gone. I get asked all the time how it’s going, and my response has always been that it’s going great, but it’s hard. The only point where I felt it got easier was when my body started to get used to it and I stopped getting so sore. I had a quick recovery from my workouts, and that’s been about it. Every time you work out, your body needs to be pushed to do better and work harder. Which brings me to where I am today.
My goals for getting fit at Lucille Roberts were to lose weight and basically feel comfortable again in my skin. I’m working toward that goal, and I’m already seeing results. What really surprised me was other advantages of getting fit. As a mom, especially this time of year, I get sick at least once a month, usually from something being passed around between my husband and my daughter. Since beginning my training in January, I haven’t gotten sick!
Working out is now becoming a part of my routine. If I miss a work out, I feel like I’m missing something. That’s something that I never felt before. I’m just so thrilled about my progress, and this proud feeling is priceless.
It really isn’t about getting skinny and getting immediate results. Results don’t happen overnight, but there are many positive changes that can happen that you don’t physically see!
