Bikini season is coming and many of you will be looking to sculpt those abs before slipping on that two piece.
This week’s exercise targets your obliques and will also test your balance: Russian Twists.
Sitting on your butt with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground, hold a dumbbell both hands or nothing at all. Lean back so that your torso is at a 45-degree angle to the floor, lift your feet off the ground crossing them at the ankles and balance on your butt.
Holding this position, rotate your torso to the left and touch the dumbbell, if you’re using one, to the ground. Twist back over to the right doing the same with the weight. You have completed one rep.
Repeat back and forth while balancing, and moving as quickly as possible. Repeat for 3 rounds of 20 twists.
