The final days of summer are upon us and we’re celebrating by wearing all the tank tops we possibly can before the dreaded down coat returns. Tank tops are a summer essential because they are easy to throw on and can be paired with shorts/skirts etc.
The only downside to tank tops is that they reveal our arms, a body part we may have been ignoring since we were too focused on having amazing abs and being bootylicious. But after seeing celeb stars like Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and the lovely Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o show off their biceps, it makes want to exercise our right to bare arms.
Inspired by Lupita, here are 10 moves from our Armed and Dangerous workout video created by Dr. Emily. These will help you to achieve toned arms like Lupita’s and bare them confidently the next time you wear your tank top.
- 1. The Push Up : Do 10 -15 reps, and on last rep hold for 5 sec.
2. The Superwoman: Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec.
3. Side Push Up: these work triceps, make sure to lower down slowly and do not drop to prevent injury. Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec. Repeat on opposite side
4. The T Superman: Similar to W Superman,except hands are straight across and lift straight up. Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
5. Tricep Dip :Do10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
6. Lateral Raise and Hold: Do a set of 4 and hold for 20 seconds each.
7. Bicep Curl and Press Out: Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
8. Bend Over W Pull Back: Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
9. Repeat Triceps Dip: Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
10. Triceps Kick Back: Do 10-15 reps, on last rep hold for 5 sec
Finish with a couple Arm Circles.
