Currently on our to do list: saving money for our next splurge on active wear. Specifically, Ivy Park.
What is Ivy Park? A fitness apparel line created by none other than Queen Bey. The line will grace our presence (and hopefully our wardrobes) in April 2016, and will be available for purchase at Topshop, Nordstrom and Net-A-Porter.
Ivy Park is described as an innovation, as it merges fashion and technical design to create a new type of performance wear for both on a off the field. Ivy Park is a active wear line that embodies those who are “Strong Beyond Measure”.
As for the name “Ivy Park”, it was influenced by two things:
1. “Ivy” is Beyonce’s favorite number (IV) and the middle name of her daughter, Blue Ivy.
2. “Park”, as mentioned by Mrs.Carter, the park became her state of mind, the park became her strength, the park who made her who she is. Following her statement she asks us, “Where is your park?” Essentially, the park is a destination that welcomes all individuals with no exclusions. It is an environment for individuals to practice, grow, conquer fears and develop their strength.
When both words are combined it introduces the world to Beyonce’s vision; a fitness apparel line changing the game and taking us on another level. Some pieces include; tank tops, leggings, sports bras, sliders (similar to what you see on DJ Khaled’s feet), sweat hair bands, one-pieces etc.
