Don’t get us wrong, we love food here at LR, but some options are just a big no-n0. So when it comes to maintaining a healthy diet, some foods are better to skip.
To help keep you on the healthy eating track, be sure to avoid consuming these type of foods—or at least indulge in moderation.
Store-bought beverages: Ok, we know this seems like a little much, but the drinks you’ve been shelling out money for at the store are adding to your difficulty in sticking to a healthy diet. They contain no real nutrition and are basically nothing but sugar. The one exception to this are healthy smoothies that contain fiber, protein, and healthy fats. Or, you know, you could just stick with water…
Fried foods: UGH, we’re dreaming of fried chicken right now. But as delicious as these foods are, they are completely destructive to your body. The amount of trans fat they contain should be enough to make you steer clear. A small indulgence here and there won’t hurt, but not every week.
Sugars and grains: These type of foods should especially be avoided at night. Focus on having your heartiest meal for breakfast—we’re talking whole grains and healthy starches—to start off your day right. Consuming these foods at night isn’t necessary when the body is winding down.
