Looks like there’s going to be some competition for the Apple Watch for fitness tracking. Fitbit is taking the smart watch to the next by raising the bar with its brand new device: the Fitbit Blaze.
It is predicted to rival the Apple Watch in its design and functionality, and comes with a price tag of $200.
What’s so great about the Fitbit Blaze you ask? Well, for starters, it boasts continuous heart rate and activity tracking, sleep tracking, and automatic exercise recognition. It also features smartphone notifications, music control, wireless syncing, and on-screen workouts using FitStar (the training app that Fitbit acquired earlier this year). You can even map your run or bike routes and see real-time stats by connecting to your phone’s GPS.
The Fitbit Blaze won’t be available until March 2016. It will be on presale starting today at Fitbit.com and tomorrow at major retailers.
