It’s that time of year again—flu season. Cue the sad faces. Millions of people fall victim to this dreaded illness with runny noses, coughing, and fevers.
So what do you do to prevent catching it? Get the flu shot? Last year many people were skipping out on the vaccine because the shot was only partially protective. While that may have been true, it’s a new year and the CDC still recommends that you get the flu shot.
“Traditional flu vaccines made to protect against three different flu viruses (called “trivalent” vaccines) are available. In addition, flu vaccines made to protect against four different flu viruses (called “quadrivalent” vaccines) also are available.” More information for the CDC here.
Whichever method you try, make sure to always keep hydrated and wash your hands regularly throughout the day.
