Aside from the obvious reasons—to lose unwanted weight, tone your body, feel more energized, etc.—exercising can have other surprising benefits. And sometimes it’s difficult to find the time for a sweat session if your schedule doesn’t permit, but we say make the time!
Exercise is—and should be–an important part of everyone’s lives, but some people don’t actually exercise for the obvious reasons. While a cardiovascular workout can be amazing for your heart, a yoga sequence doing wonders from your stress levels and flexibility, and strength training to tone your body and make you stronger, exercise can also be quite soothing and relaxing.
We know, you’re probably thinking we’re crazy, but hear us out! Some of us choose to exercise because it’s the only time we potentially have to ourselves for some peace and quiet. It’s a great feeling when all you have to focus on is your next breath or moving one foot in front of the other. When you’re taking a class, you don’t have your cell phone so you’re not being bombarded with work emails.
Exercise can get you out of your own head and take you away from your responsibilities for however long your playlist lasts. An added bonus? If you happen to drop a couple jean sizes, even better!
