The answer? Celebrity trainer Marco Borges.
Passionate about guiding people on the path to developing a healthy lifestyle, Trainer Marco Borges author of the 22-Day Revolution Cookbook is committed to making a difference everyday. This includes making a difference with Queen Bey’s health and fitness, ensuring she did not miss a beat on her Formation world tour. A tour which had 32 shows from North American and Europe, with each performance being at least two hours long! That is two hours of non stop SLAY-ing on stage, in heels. Wow. In Glamour Magazine’s article, Borges shares his secrets to the most coveted body in the world. Read more to find out his secrets.
Boost your energy:
To increase her energy, the queen boxes and uses battle ropes. Bargo states “You run out of gas fast; by pushing through (fatigue) and develop a ton of endurance.” An equipment-free option? Explosive push-ups. Get in a push-up position, bend your elbows, and lower your chest towards the floor. Press back up, pushing through your hands at the top to ‘pop’ an inch above the ground. Do 4 sets of 8 to 10 reps.
Building endurance to run faster:
“Sprints are ideal for building stamina and explosiveness, which B needs to move across the stage,” says Borges, who has her alternate a one-minute sprint with two minutes of brisk walking for 30 minutes in total.
Healthy eating:
Beyoncé’s diet during the tour followed Marco’s 22-Day Revolution Cookbook. Commenting on the book, Beyoncé mentions to USA today,”I thought I would feel deprived… that I would get headaches and be irritable. I was wrong about all that… What I discovered was increased energy, better sleep, weight loss, improved digestion… that I could still love food but this time it would love me back.” The cookbook includes recipes for vegan chia puddings, plant-based protein smoothies, avocado zucchini noodles and more.
