Eating a lot of simple carbohydrates without the help of proteins or fats can give your body a short-term energy boost and satisfy your hunger, but will also quickly leave you famished again and craving more. Find out how to curb those sugar cravings and keep your sweet tooth under control:
1. Combine foods
The idea of stopping at that one cookie or donut may seem impossible, but you can fill yourself up while still satisfying your sugar craving. By combining a healthy food with a bit of sweet, you can have the best of both worlds.

2. Grab some gum
Having a pack of gum on hand is always a good idea. Research shows that chewing a stick of gum can help reduce food cravings.
3. Choose fruit
Fruit is super handy to have around when your sugar cravings hit. Whether you have an apple or pre-cut fruit to snack on, you’ll get fiber and nutrients along with some sweetness.
4. Go cold turkey
If you have the will power, try cutting out all sugary foods completely. The first 48-72 hours are the hardest, but the end result will be worth it.
5. Reward yourself
