Don’t we all love diet tricks, especially simple ones? We definitely do! According to a new study, trying to cut calories can be as simple as reaching for a cup of water. (Cue the shocked looking faces.)
So what do you need to know? Researchers from the University of Illinois looked at the dietary habits of more than 18,000 adults and here’s what they found: participants cut down their total calorie intake when their water consumption was increased each day by just one measly percent. The people who upped their water intake by one, two, or three cups saved anywhere from 68 to 205 calories throughout the day. Wowza.
Water helps fill you up, so when you’re feeling hungry, most of time you’re probably just a little dehydrated. Instead of reaching for a snack, poor yourself a glass of H20!
